In the early morning hours of November 24, 1978, four men (including Manuel Gordillo and Francisco Lopez Rivero) were hunting in a wooded area near the Guadiamar River east of Gerena, in the province of Seville, Spain. One hunter had already returned to the car. The remaining group observed an object about 20 feet across that looked like a large upside-down earthenware jar or jug, resting on the ground or hovering very low. It featured rows of small colored lights around its body and a prominent red light on top. Standing next to the object was a tall humanoid figure, estimated at over 2 meters, wearing a dark helmet and a tight silvery one-piece suit. The being appeared strong and moved toward the witnesses while making unintelligible mumbling noises. Frightened, the hunters ran from the area. The case was investigated by multiple Spanish ufologists including members associated with APRO and local groups. Traces were reported at the landing site. The event occurred in a rural estate area with eucalyptus groves and open spaces.

Retired automobile salesman Tom Dawson, 63, encountered a circular craft that landed near a pond while walking his dogs. He was paralyzed, along with his dogs and nearby cattle. Seven white-skinned humanoids (some nude, some in shimmering suits) with pointed ears and no necks emerged, examined him with devices, and a voice claiming to be Jimmy Hoffa was heard from the craft.
