On the night of November 24, 1978, four men were hunting in an isolated area near the Guadiamar River outside Gerena, Seville, when they came upon a large landed object described as a sphere or balloon-like craft. Standing next to it was a tall humanoid figure wearing what appeared to be a dark one-piece diving suit. The witnesses observed the being for a short time before experiencing intense fear. A strong, unpleasant odor was reported in the area. The object eventually rose and departed. The case was investigated by Spanish UFO researchers and featured multiple witnesses providing consistent accounts in interviews and reports. It is considered one of the better-documented Spanish CE3 cases from the late 1970s wave.

Retired automobile salesman Tom Dawson, 63, encountered a circular craft that landed near a pond while walking his dogs. He was paralyzed, along with his dogs and nearby cattle. Seven white-skinned humanoids (some nude, some in shimmering suits) with pointed ears and no necks emerged, examined him with devices, and a voice claiming to be Jimmy Hoffa was heard from the craft.
