What was claimed
A banana farmer reported a gray disk rising from a lagoon, leaving a circular raft of swirled reeds. Police photographed the nest the same day.

George Pedley, riding a tractor toward Horseshoe Lagoon, said a gray, saucer-shaped object rose out of the reeds with a hiss and flew west. On the water he found a circular mass of reeds, spun down in a tight swirl, later called a saucer nest. Police and a RAAF officer inspected it. Photographs were taken while it was still green.
Wilt, gas, and whirlwinds have been offered for the nest. Pedley never claimed a passenger. The file is an Australian daylight disk plus a physical trace on the same morning, years before English crop circles became a fashion.

Mechanic Stefan Michalak encountered a landed disc-shaped craft in the woods while prospecting. The object emitted hot exhaust that burned his clothing and caused severe physical symptoms. Ground traces, burned clothing, and medical records were documented. Canada's most thoroughly investigated and best-documented unsolved UFO case according to official files.
