The Royal Australian Air Force collected UFO reports from the 1950s until it transferred the work away. The National Archives of Australia hold the files: civilian letters, a few military sightings, and the usual mix of Venus, balloons, and remainder. Westall, 1966, lives at the edge of that paper — a schoolyard event the files do not close.
Like the UK dump, the Australian archive is mostly what the public wrote to the air force. That is still a government record of the subject, in a country that had its own wave.
