Cussac Children Entity Encounter

On the morning of August 29, 1967, 13-year-old François Delpeuch and his 9-year-old sister Anne-Marie were watching over the family cows near Cussac when they spotted four small black figures, about 1.2 meters tall, on the other side of the road. Initially thinking they were children, François called out to them. The figures were completely black, with elongated heads or helmets, and one appeared to be collecting something from the ground while another held a mirror-like object. A dazzling 2-meter spherical object rested nearby. When the beings noticed the children, they rose vertically one by one and dived head-first into the top of the sphere. The object then rose in a spiral with a loud whistling sound, leaving a strong sulfur smell and a circular area of scorched or yellowed grass. The frightened children ran home. Their father, the mayor, notified the gendarmerie, who arrived the same day, noted the odor and traces, and took statements. The case was later re-investigated in 1978 by the official French GEPAN team, which found the witnesses consistent and the case unexplained. Physical traces and independent corroboration from a local field guard who heard the whistle were documented.
