On the afternoon of August 29, 1967, a 13-year-old boy and his 9-year-old sister were watching over cows in a field near Cussac, France. They observed a round, metallic-looking sphere, approximately 4.5 meters in diameter, hovering above the ground. Four small black beings, about 1.2 meters tall, were near it. One appeared to be examining the ground or collecting something. When the children approached, the beings rose into the air and entered the sphere through an opening. The object then emitted a whistling sound, rose vertically, and flew away rapidly. The children reported a strong sulfur odor at the site and noted that the grass where the object had been was dried and yellowed. They immediately told their parents, who notified the police. The gendarmes investigated the same day, noting the odor and the affected grass. The case was later included in official French government UFO files released in 2007.
