Standing
Unidentified
On the public record, and still open. A claim, paper, or film — not a finding that it was ours, and not a finding that it was not.
RCMP and DND investigation files, medical reports, and site analysis remain unsolved; physical evidence including radiation and burns documented.
What was claimed
Prospector Stefan Michalak approached a landed disc-shaped craft that emitted hot exhaust, causing severe burns to his chest in a grid pattern. The incident produced documented physical evidence, medical records, and was investigated by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, Canadian Forces, and other agencies.
What is on the record
This file is a working record — a report, not a verdict. Official paper, if any, is linked where we have it.
While prospecting for quartz near Falcon Lake, Stefan Michalak observed two bright, cigar-shaped objects descending. One hovered and departed; the other landed on a rocky outcrop about 45 meters away, changing from bright red to glowing hot. Michalak sketched the craft for over 30 minutes. A door opened, revealing a bright interior from which he heard voices. Approaching, he was met with a blast of hot air or exhaust from a grid-like vent on the side, which set his shirt and skin on fire in a distinctive checkerboard pattern matching the vent. The craft then lifted off and disappeared. Michalak suffered first- and second-degree burns, nausea, weight loss, and lingering effects for weeks. He reported the incident to the RCMP; investigators found a circular burned area at the site with radioactive traces, damaged vegetation, and melted metal fragments. Medical examinations by multiple doctors and hospitals documented the burns and subsequent illness. The Canadian Department of National Defence investigated but left the case unsolved. It is widely regarded as one of Canada's best-documented UFO cases with physical and medical evidence.
Could this have been ours?
The known sky, that night.
The station, the trains, and the rest of the known sky were already there. Hold the claim next to them.
Always
Aircraft, balloons, meteors
Landing lights, flares, lanterns, reentries, fireballs. They are on the known sky. They do not close a file by themselves — they are what a serious look has to hold the claim against.
The known sky
None of the above land
Stations, trains, and planets do not set down in a field or leave a body. This file is a ground report. The known sky still has to be named. It does not answer the claim.
