Standing
Unidentified
On the public record, and still open. A claim, paper, or film — not a finding that it was ours, and not a finding that it was not.
What was claimed
TASS reported that children and others in a city park had seen a landing and tall beings. Police and a journalist put the story on the wire.
What is on the record
This file is a working record — a report, not a verdict. Official paper, if any, is linked where we have it.
In late September 1989, boys in a park in Voronezh said a pink or red sphere had landed and that very tall figures and a small robot-like object had come out. Drawings were collected. Militia officers and a TASS correspondent, Vladimir Degtyarev, put the account on the national wire, and the world press ran it as Soviet official confirmation of aliens.
The climate was glasnost and a hunger for wonders. Later Russian reporting was cooler. Some witnesses held to a light and a figure; others receded. The file is a park, a set of children’s drawings, and a TASS dateline that went around the Earth.
Could this have been ours?
The known sky, that night.
Satellites were already up. The station was not. Starlink was not.
Always
Aircraft, balloons, meteors
Landing lights, flares, lanterns, reentries, fireballs. They are on the known sky. They do not close a file by themselves — they are what a serious look has to hold the claim against.
The known sky
None of the above land
Stations, trains, and planets do not set down in a field or leave a body. This file is a ground report. The known sky still has to be named. It does not answer the claim.
Orbit · Space — the desks for lights that are already named.
