On the public record, and still open. A claim, paper, or film — not a finding that it was ours, and not a finding that it was not.
Detailed report in NICAP files; both witnesses provided consistent accounts of the humanoid and craft behavior.
What was claimed
Two young men driving at night had their car stop after a blinding flash. A small domed object with flashing lights hovered ahead; a transparent dome revealed two occupants. One 3.5-foot humanoid with pitted face, large ears, and a backpack-like device floated down, entered the car briefly, then both returned to the craft which departed in a zigzag.
What is on the record
This file is a working record — a report, not a verdict. Official paper, if any, is linked where we have it.
On November 2, 1967, around 9:30 p.m., Guy Tossie and Will Begay were driving south on Highway 26 outside Ririe, Idaho, when a sudden blinding flash of light appeared in front of their vehicle, causing it to stop without braking. A small domed object, about 8 feet wide and 3 feet thick with flashing green and orange lights around the rim, hovered five feet above the road directly ahead. The dome was transparent, revealing two small strange-looking occupants inside. The dome opened and one being, approximately 3.5 feet tall with an oval heavily pitted and creased face, small round eyes, slit-like mouth, large ears on a hairless head, and a pack protruding from its back, floated to the ground. It approached the driver's side, opened the door, and slid behind the wheel momentarily before getting out. Both beings then rose back into the UFO, which ascended in a zigzag path and departed. The witnesses were left shaken; Tossie drove to a nearby farmhouse in distress. The case was documented by NICAP investigators.

Stations, trains, and planets do not set down in a field or leave a body. This file is a ground report. The known sky still has to be named. It does not answer the claim.
