What was claimed

Farmer Carroll Watts reported multiple encounters, including direct interaction with 4-5 foot tall humanoids with wrap-around eyes that did not move when speaking. On one occasion a craft landed and an occupant exited. Watts provided photographs and a detailed written account later published; the events were investigated and documented in UFO literature.

What is on the record

This file is a working record — a report, not a verdict. Official paper, if any, is linked where we have it.

During the spring of 1967, farmer Carroll Watts of Wellington, Texas, experienced a series of close encounters. On April 11, 1967, he had a particularly detailed interaction. A craft landed and one of the occupants, described as 4 to 5 feet tall with wrap-around eyes and a mouth that did not move when it spoke, exited the object. Watts reported communicating with the beings, who used some form of device or telepathy. He had previously photographed objects in the area on other dates in the series. The beings were said to be humanoid. Watts and his wife Rosemary prepared a written report of the events, which was later published by researcher Timothy Good in the book Alien Base. The case includes multiple dated sightings within months, with Watts as the named primary witness providing consistent details under investigation.

Could this have been ours?

The known sky, that night.

Satellites were already up. The station was not. Starlink was not.

Always

Aircraft, balloons, meteors

Landing lights, flares, lanterns, reentries, fireballs. They are on the known sky. They do not close a file by themselves — they are what a serious look has to hold the claim against.

The known sky

None of the above land

Stations, trains, and planets do not set down in a field or leave a body. This file is a ground report. The known sky still has to be named. It does not answer the claim.
