A logging crew reported a disk in the trees and a beam that struck one of them. The man was missing five days. The crew passed polygraphs.

A seven-man crew was driving out of the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest after dark when they saw a glowing disk among the pines. Travis Walton left the truck and approached. The others described a blue-green beam; Walton fell. The driver panicked and left, then went back. Walton was gone. They were suspected of murder until he reappeared near a Heber gas station five days later, thinner, confused, with a story of a metallic interior and beings.
The crew took polygraph tests arranged by the National Enquirer and Arizona officers; the results were presented as passing, with one disputed chart. Skeptics, notably Philip Klass, argued a hoax aimed at a logging contract. The men have kept the same outline for fifty years.
The written statements of six coworkers who thought they had just watched a friend die are the load-bearing part of the file.

Approximately ten small figures in white suits emerged via a ladder, used spoon-like tools to collect soil samples, then reboarded and the craft departed. Corroborating witnesses reported the object and related effects.

Retired automobile salesman Tom Dawson, 63, encountered a circular craft that landed near a pond while walking his dogs. He was paralyzed, along with his dogs and nearby cattle. Seven white-skinned humanoids (some nude, some in shimmering suits) with pointed ears and no necks emerged, examined him with devices, and a voice claiming to be Jimmy Hoffa was heard from the craft.
