AARO Historical Record Report, Volume I

Volume I of AARO’s Historical Record Report is the Pentagon’s long look backward: Blue Book, AATIP, AAWSAP, and the modern crash-retrieval claims. The unclassified report says AARO found no evidence that any U.S. government investigation has verified the existence of extraterrestrial technology. It argues that some witnesses misidentified real, sensitive U.S. programs as alien ones.

Critics called the volume incomplete — Volume II was promised — and said witnesses were not all heard. The paper is still the most detailed official American history of the subject yet published. It is a government argument, on the record, not a closing of the file.
