An adult and three children at Semers Beach independently described a car-sized object with two round lights over the lake.

On 14 August 2026 an adult swimming with three children at Semers Beach, Ely, Minnesota, reported a car-sized object hovering roughly 300 feet away over Shagawa Lake, two round lights about four feet apart on its face. The National UFO Reporting Center later published the account as part of its 200,000th-report milestone.
The adult interviewed each child separately afterward without describing their own observations first; the children independently reported the same size, light configuration, and movement. A lake, a summer afternoon, and four voices that agree are the file. Not a recovered craft.
