What was claimed
Hundreds of reports of missile-like objects over Sweden and Finland, some said to have crashed in lakes. No wreckage was recovered.

In the first summer of the peace, Swedish military and civil observers logged more than a thousand reports of cigar-shaped objects, often with fire or smoke, crossing the country by day and night. On 19 July a crash was reported into Lake Kölmjärv. Army search teams found nothing they could keep.
Allied intelligence asked whether the Soviets were testing German V-1s from Peenemünde. Moscow denied it. The wave faded with the winter. A few sightings had multiple military witnesses and radar. The file is the first national-scale postwar catalogue in Europe, six months before Arnold.
