On the public record, and still open. A claim, paper, or film — not a finding that it was ours, and not a finding that it was not.

What was claimed
Four young men investigating an earlier orange sphere sighting encountered multiple 3-meter-tall beings with square helmets, rectangular eye openings, and waist-level red lights in a threatening pose near their cars. One witness described a being crouching with a trailing red light.
What is on the record
This file is a working record — a report, not a verdict. Official paper, if any, is linked where we have it.
On the evening of October 19, 1973, Gabriel Demogue and his girlfriend observed an orange-yellow sphere of light disappear near a peak on Le Malmont mountain north of Draguignan. Demogue returned with three friends—Georges Macret, Christian Bensa, and Alain Lecat—in two cars (a Fiat 128 and an R8). At the panorama table, they saw a diffuse white glow and a large silhouette. As they drove down, a red light followed; stopping and using headlights revealed three enormous beings, approximately 3 meters tall, wearing one-piece suits with square helmets featuring luminous rectangular eye slots and a red light at waist level. The beings approached in a threatening manner around one car. One youth shouted asking if they were good or bad but received no reply. The beings had a stiff, crouching motion at times. The group felt fear and electromagnetic effects; the cars reportedly experienced unusual movement before the beings departed. The case was documented in contemporary UFO literature including Flying Saucer Review with named witnesses and a drawing of the site.
Could this have been ours?
The known sky, that night.

Always
Aircraft, balloons, meteors
Landing lights, flares, lanterns, reentries, fireballs. They are on the known sky. They do not close a file by themselves — they are what a serious look has to hold the claim against.
The known sky
None of the above land
Stations, trains, and planets do not set down in a field or leave a body. This file is a ground report. The known sky still has to be named. It does not answer the claim.
