On September 5, 2026, early in the morning at Black Rock City during the Burning Man festival (near Gerlach, Nevada), three witnesses noticed a dot in the sky. It gradually drew closer and transformed into a green sphere. The object hovered above them for some time before slowly moving away. The entire observation lasted approximately 20 minutes. Video footage shows the green hovering sphere against the desert sky. One report lists the location as Lovelock, but witness testimony confirms the Burning Man playa site.
