A daytime report from Coloma described a metallic orb close over dry grass and oaks, the surface said to morph or swim. It was not claimed as a landing. The hour was daylight, which is rarer in the current posts.

Metallic orb morphs shape in daytime flight

A single witness observed a sedan-sized orbish sphere that appeared metallic with a haze or aura. It floated slowly, morphing shape from round to other forms, bright silver-gray turning blackish when closest (~150 ft above treeline), then ascended northeast.

A couple in a fire lookout at 8,200 feet observed a cluster of 20-30 perfectly oval metallic spheres above the ridge over Stampede Reservoir. No sound was heard despite the elevation where aircraft are normally audible.
