On the night of July 15, 2019, the USS Omaha and accompanying ships in a warning area off Southern California tracked multiple unidentified aerial objects on radar for over an hour. One spherical object was captured on shipboard infrared camera as it descended toward the water. Crew commentary notes its speed and behavior, culminating in the object appearing to splash into the ocean. No wreckage was recovered despite subsequent searches. Filmmaker Jeremy Corbell released the footage in 2021; the Pentagon confirmed it was recorded by Navy personnel and reviewed by the UAP Task Force. The object is described as approximately 6 feet in diameter and exhibiting transmedium characteristics.
