What was claimed
A luminous sphere and a vast yellowish object were reported from ships, villages, and an army doctor on several islands. The Spanish Air Force investigated.

At about 9:30 p.m., observers on Tenerife, Gran Canaria, and at sea reported a bluish sphere, then a huge yellowish form, some saying two figures were visible inside a transparent structure. Dr. Francisco Padron Leon, an army doctor driving with a patient, gave a detailed medical-eye-witness account. The Spanish Air Force collected drawings and statements.
A later declassified file discussed a missile test from a submarine as a candidate. Not every island description fits a single ballistic arc. The official drawings are the document.

While walking her neighbor's dog near 764 Main Street, a woman observed a bright white object hovering in the sky. It moved erratically—shooting up, down, left, and right at high speed—and appeared to react to her observation, coming toward her before stopping. The silent orb changed shape and color slightly; the dog reacted fearfully. Video was captured showing the object's maneuvers.
