The Sky Canada Project, launched by the Office of the Chief Science Advisor, reviewed public reporting of unidentified aerial phenomena in Canada. The June 2025 report described a fragmented landscape — NRC history, DND, Transport, RCMP, and private groups — and recommended a dedicated federal service to collect and analyse reports, plus better tools against misinformation. It did not present recovered non-human material. In public Q&A the office said it had not sought, nor encountered, evidence of secret reverse-engineering programs in Canada.
