In April 2020 the Department of Defense issued a statement: three videos recorded by Navy pilots, previously published by the To The Stars Academy and the New York Times, were indeed Navy videos, and they showed unidentified aerial phenomena. The department did not say what the objects were. It said the recordings were genuine and the objects unidentified.
The paper is a press release, not a technical report. It still changed the official American sentence. After 2020, a UAP video released by the Pentagon could be cited as a Pentagon video. The three clips sit in this catalogue as the Nimitz, Gimbal, and GoFast files.
