Synopsis: Analysis of a Metallic Specimen

ORNL performed chemical, structural, and radiological characterization on the specimen and subsamples. The material was determined to be a manufactured terrestrial alloy consistent with mid-20th century metallurgy practices, showing evidence of mechanical and thermal damage but no properties indicating non-terrestrial origin. The bismuth layers did not exhibit the single-crystal structure or purity that would be required to function as a claimed terahertz waveguide. No anomalous radiological signatures were detected. AARO concurred with the findings that the sample does not represent off-world technology.
