This archival folder, declassified in January 2024 by the Norwegian National Archives, compiles documents from the Norwegian Armed Forces High Command covering the period 1954–1970. It includes internal memos, reports of visual and radar observations by military personnel (such as the 1954 Stavern silvery object seen during exercises and the 1956 filmed phenomenon), public inquiries, and press material. The records show routine forwarding of sightings to intelligence and air defence units for evaluation, with many cases remaining unexplained due to lack of additional data but none assessed as posing a confirmed threat or exhibiting unequivocally extraordinary performance. The material illustrates the military's systematic logging and assessment practices during the Cold War era without reaching conclusions of non-human origin.
